God’s wisdom

‭‭Romans‬ ‭11:33-36  Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counsellor?”… For from him and through him and for him are all things. ‬(‭NIV‬‬)

James 1:5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (NKJV)

Heaven-sent insights

John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. (NKJV)

Strategies and solutions for every situation

2 Chronicles 1:10 Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours? (NIV)

Proverbs 2:6-12 For the Lord gives wisdom. From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;  He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;  He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every good path. When wisdom enters your heart,  And knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you.  Understanding will keep you, To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things. (NKJV)

Leading to life

Psalm 1:1-3  Blessed is the man … his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatever he does shall prosper. (NKJV)

Proverbs 1:1-7 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel: for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight; for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young - let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance - for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (NIV)

‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:28,31‬  The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable… But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength (NKJV)

Commentary

He is the All Sufficient, all Knowing God. He has the strategy and solution for every situation. Moses received blueprints from heaven; Bezalel was filled with wisdom, understanding, knowledge and the skills to implement them; Solomon asked for and received a wise and discerning heart to govern God’s people and distinguish between right and wrong; David was a man after God’s own heart who enquired of the Lord and obeyed him; Joshua, Jehoshaphat and Gideon implemented strategic insights they had been given; and Jesus responded moment by moment to every situation from what he saw the Father doing. The same practical wisdom is available to us now. As Jesus said “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 (NIV)
